The out-of-hours commitment is supported by an external provider, with an initial rota of one in eight, improving to one in ten from the autumn. One lieu day is provided for every weekend worked, supporting a healthy work-life balance.

Role Description
The Ambulatory Equine Veterinary Surgeon will deliver a full range of ambulatory equine services to an established client base. The role can be tailored to suit a recently qualified Veterinary Surgeon looking to develop further, through to a highly experienced clinician. You will have the opportunity to build and grow a caseload aligned with your clinical interests, supported by an experienced, friendly, and collaborative team. The practice encourages clinical autonomy while providing excellent backup and professional development opportunities.

Team Size
You will join a supportive team of experienced equine Veterinary Surgeons, Registered Veterinary Nurses, and nursing assistants who work closely together to deliver high standards of equine care.

Practice Details
The practice is well equipped to support a wide range of ambulatory equine services. Facilities and equipment include digital radiography systems, ultrasound systems, upper respiratory tract video endoscopes, a gastroscope, extracorporeal shockwave therapy equipment, and mechanical dental equipment. The practice benefits from strong infrastructure, modern equipment, and access to a wider clinical network.

Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will be a qualified Veterinary Surgeon with an interest in ambulatory equine practice. Applications are welcomed from confident recent graduates through to experienced clinicians. You will be motivated, personable, and keen to develop your own clinical focus while delivering high standards of patient and client care.
