Job Description

Introduction
Our Client’s practice in Washington, Tyne and Wear, is seeking a dedicated Veterinary Surgeon to join their friendly and experienced team in a well-established, RCVS-accredited small animal practice.

Working Hours / Rota
This is a full-time role working 40 hours over 4 days per week, with a 1 in 3 Saturday rota (09:00 – 12:00). Flexible part-time options are also available.

Role Description
You’ll work alongside a skilled team including vets with strong interests in dentistry, dermatology, and diagnostic imaging. This is an opportunity to bring your own clinical passion to complement the team’s existing expertise. The role includes consultations, procedures, treatment planning, and team collaboration, with scope for mentoring and CPD development.

Team Size
You will join a three-vet team supported by experienced RVNs and a welcoming support staff, forming a tight-knit, collaborative practice environment.

Practice Details
The practice is well-equipped and RCVS-accredited as a Small Animal General Practice. Facilities include a large waiting area, three consult rooms, a theatre, a dedicated dental suite with dental x-ray, a video endoscope, x-ray facilities, and separate cat and dog wards.

Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will be an RCVS-registered Veterinary Surgeon with at least two years of experience. You should have a passion for either surgery or medicine, work effectively within a team, and be eager to contribute to a progressive clinical culture.
