Job Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Veterinary Surgeon to join a friendly and supportive team at a purpose-built standalone surgery in Wakefield, West Yorkshire.
Located just 20 minutes from Leeds and with the stunning Yorkshire Dales nearby, the practice offers the perfect blend of city life and countryside charm. The location boasts excellent local amenities and easy access to the rest of the country, situated at the junction of the M1 and M62. With London just two hours away by train and Edinburgh only 3.5 hours, this is an ideal base for exploring the UK while maintaining a healthy work/life balance.
The surgery is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, including a corneal diamond burr, high-spec ultrasound, and equipment for orthopaedic and advanced soft tissue surgeries. Additionally, it features endosurgery equipment for laparoscopic procedures, providing a great environment to enhance clinical skills.
The role offers full flexibility, with the option of full-time, part-time, or tailored working hours. There are no out-of-hours duties or late nights, and the practice is happy to accommodate preferences for Saturday mornings on a fair rota basis.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced vet, confident in sole charge and managing a variety of routine medical and surgical cases typically encountered in general practice.
