Introduction

Our Client is a corporately owned practice based in a well-connected market town in Norfolk. The practice is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Veterinary Surgeon to join its established and supportive team, offering an excellent balance between clinical development and life outside of work.

The location provides easy access to the North Norfolk coast, which is well known for its beaches and scenery, as well as Thetford Forest, the largest lowland pine forest in Britain. This makes the position particularly well suited to someone looking for a strong work-life balance within a quieter, more rural setting.

Working Hours / Rota

This is a full-time position working four days per week from 8:30am to 6:30pm. The successful candidate will receive the same weekday off each week, helping to provide consistency and continuity within the rota.

The weekend requirement is limited to one Saturday in five. There are no out-of-hours or on-call duties associated with the position, supporting a sustainable and balanced working schedule.

Role Description

The role will involve a varied mixture of consultations and routine surgical procedures throughout the week. Consultations are scheduled in 15-minute appointments, beginning from 8:30am, and are arranged in blocks across the day to provide sufficient time to follow up cases, complete clinical notes and maintain a high standard of patient care.

The successful candidate will work alongside experienced Veterinary Surgeons and will have access to clinical support whenever required. There will also be opportunities to develop individual areas of interest, pursue further qualifications and progress within the wider veterinary group.

The clinical focus is centred around delivering high-quality first-opinion small animal care while building trusted and lasting relationships with clients and their pets.

Team Size

The successful candidate will join an established permanent team of Veterinary Surgeons, Registered Veterinary Nurses and experienced support staff. The team offers a collaborative and supportive working environment, with experienced clinicians available to provide case support and guidance.

Practice Details & Equipment

The practice is an established small animal clinic located in a Norfolk market town. It forms part of a wider veterinary group with a strong reputation for delivering compassionate, high-quality clinical care while providing a supportive and encouraging workplace for its teams.

The practice is equipped with digital radiography, dental radiography and ultrasound facilities. It also benefits from an on-site laboratory capable of running biochemistry, haematology, SNAP tests, urinalysis and microscopy, allowing many diagnostic investigations to be completed efficiently within the practice.
