Job Description
Introduction
Our Client is a well-established, purpose-built small animal practice located in Sleaford, Lincolnshire. With an excellent client base and an experienced clinical team, the practice manages a busy and varied caseload and is working towards becoming a dedicated 24-hour centre for the region.
The practice also operates as a training site for both nurses and veterinary surgeons enrolled on graduate development programmes, creating a progressive and supportive learning environment.
Working Hours / Rota
This is a permanent full-time role working 40 hours per week over four days, with 1 in 4 Saturdays (8:30am–2:30pm). Part-time applications are welcome, and flexibility can be discussed to suit individual requirements.
Role Description
In this role, you will deliver exceptional clinical care during consultations and surgical procedures, ensuring full compliance with regulatory, operational, and practice standards. You will develop tailored treatment plans in collaboration with clients and manage a varied small animal caseload.
The practice provides an excellent environment for professional growth, particularly for Veterinary Surgeons who are keen to lead, mentor, and inspire others. You will work collaboratively within a supportive team, sharing clinical expertise and contributing to the development of colleagues, including those in training.

Team Size
You will join an experienced and supportive team within a busy training practice environment, working alongside veterinary surgeons, registered veterinary nurses, and support staff committed to high standards of care and professional development.
Practice Details
The purpose-built facility includes five consultation rooms, separate dog and cat wards, and well-equipped operating theatres featuring ECG, digital x-ray, dentistry equipment, ultrasound, and a fully equipped in-house laboratory.
The practice manages a busy and diverse caseload and is progressing towards becoming a dedicated 24-hour centre for the region.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will be a qualified MRCVS Veterinary Surgeon with experience in small animal practice and a passion for clinical excellence and client care.
You will be confident in consultations and routine surgery, demonstrate strong teamwork skills, and show enthusiasm for mentoring and developing colleagues where appropriate. Leadership qualities are welcomed, particularly for candidates seeking to inspire and contribute to a progressive clinical culture.
