Job Description

Introduction
Our Client is a corporately owned practice seeking an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join their supportive and established team in Norwich. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to develop their clinical interests within a well-equipped, progressive environment.

Rota Details
The role is ideally full-time at 39 hours per week across 4 days (9am–7pm), though part-time applicants will also be considered. The weekend rota is 1 in 5 Saturdays (9am–6pm) and Sundays (10:30am–4:30pm), with these shifts based at another Norwich site. There are no OOHs, and bank holidays are worked on a shared rota.

Information About the Practice
This Norwich-based group operates three corporately owned, independently run practices. The team includes 5 experienced Vets and a recent graduate, supported by 6 RVNs, VCAs, and administrative staff. Areas of clinical interest include orthopaedics, imaging, and surgery. Mental Health First Aiders are in place, and the BVA good workplace guide has been fully implemented across the sites.

Description of the Role
This position offers a varied caseload with the option to focus on either consult-only or medical bias roles, including interests such as feline medicine. The successful candidate will work collaboratively within a supportive team, helping to deliver excellent patient care while contributing to the ongoing development of clinical standards. Flexibility to occasionally work across other local practices may be required.

The Ideal Candidate
Applicants should be RCVS-registered with at least two years’ experience in small animal practice. A consult-only interest or medical specialism would be welcomed. Strong communication skills, a commitment to patient welfare, and a team-focused approach are key.

Practice Equipment List
All sites are purpose-built and well-equipped, featuring orthopaedic kits, diagnostic tools, and imaging facilities. Appointments are structured for quality care, with 15-minute vaccine slots and 30-minute clinical consultations. Regular clinical meetings support collaborative learning and discussion.

Any Other Details
There are opportunities for career progression, with future partnership prospects for the right candidate. Support from an experienced regional team is available, and the group is actively planning further growth. Visa sponsorship and relocation support can be provided where needed.
