Introduction
Our Client is a corporately owned practice seeking a passionate and dedicated Veterinary Surgeon to join their friendly and supportive team. This is an excellent opportunity to take on a sole charge role within a well-equipped, forward-thinking practice that prides itself on providing high-quality care to small animals in a welcoming environment.

Rota Details
This is a full-time position of 40 hours per week, worked over 4.5 days. The standard hours are 8:30am–6:30pm for full days, and 8:30am–12:30pm for the half day. There is no weekend work, allowing for an excellent work-life balance.

Information About the Practice
The practice forms part of a large, well-established veterinary group with an extensive network of practices, including 24-hour hospitals and referral centres across the UK and Europe. The team is supported by an experienced Clinical Nursing team, HRVN, and dedicated support staff, fostering a positive, collaborative working culture.

Description of the Role
The successful candidate will manage a varied caseload of consultations, diagnostics, and surgical procedures, delivering exceptional clinical care to patients and clients. They will prepare accurate treatment plans, ensure excellent communication with clients, and contribute to maintaining the highest clinical standards. As the sole charge vet on site, they will also provide leadership to the nursing and support teams, ensuring effective workflow and clinical excellence throughout the day.

The Ideal Candidate
The ideal applicant will be an RCVS-registered Veterinary Surgeon with experience in small animal practice and confident in both surgical and medical cases. They should have strong communication skills, a compassionate approach to patient care, and the ability to lead by example. Previous experience with export certification and mentoring nursing teams is desirable.

Practice Equipment List
The practice is well-equipped to support high-quality clinical work, including facilities for diagnostic imaging, routine surgery, and in-house laboratory testing. The group continues to invest in modern technology and equipment to support best practice across its network.
