Our Client is a corporately owned practice/hospital and operates a well-established standalone small animal practice in Loughborough. Working Hours / Rota
This is a full-time role working a four-day week with a 1 in 4 Saturday rota from 9:00am to 12:00pm. There are no out-of-hours requirements. Part-time hours can also be considered for the right candidate to ensure flexibility and work-life balance.

Role Description
The Veterinary Surgeon will manage a varied medical and surgical first-opinion caseload, with a balanced mix of consultations and operations. The practice encourages vets to expand their skillsets, develop confidence in new procedures, and work cases up to a high clinical standard while considering client budgets. There is opportunity to gain exposure to more complex and orthopaedic procedures under experienced leadership, particularly for those with a surgical interest. Regular team communication, daily huddles, and collaborative case discussions support continuous professional growth.

Team Size
You will join a dynamic team of 4 Veterinary Surgeons, including 2 recent graduates, supported by 6 Registered Veterinary Nurses, 2 Student Veterinary Nurses, 5 Client Care Advisors and a Practice Manager. Leadership is provided by an experienced Practice Owner and Head Vet with a postgraduate certificate in surgery, creating a strong mentoring environment.

Practice Details
The practice is standalone and well equipped with digital radiography, digital endoscopy, ultrasound, in-house laboratory facilities, and a comprehensive range of surgical and orthopaedic equipment. The varied caseload includes advanced surgical procedures, providing excellent development opportunities. Located on the outskirts of Loughborough, the practice benefits from excellent motorway and rail links to major cities and surrounding countryside.
