Introduction
Our Client is a corporately owned, RCVS-accredited practice in Southwest London, seeking a Veterinary Surgeon to join their friendly and experienced team. This is a busy and vibrant practice with a strong community feel, offering an exciting caseload and the opportunity to work with a loyal client base.
Working Hours / Rota
This is a full-time position with a balanced rota designed to provide a sustainable work-life balance. Exact hours and weekend commitments can be discussed to ensure the schedule works for both the candidate and the practice team.
Role Description
As Veterinary Surgeon, you will carry out a range of duties including consultations, soft tissue surgeries, dentals, ophthalmic work, imaging (X-ray and ultrasound) and laboratory diagnostics. You will communicate clearly with clients, prepare accurate treatment plans and estimates, and provide excellent patient care throughout. The role also includes mentoring and supporting colleagues, contributing to the continuous improvement of clinical standards, and ensuring smooth clinical handovers. This is a great opportunity for a vet looking to develop their skills within a well-equipped, supportive environment while maintaining a healthy work-life balance.
Team Size
You will join a welcoming team consisting of a Branch Partner, student veterinary nurses, a veterinary care assistant, client care assistant and practice manager. The team is close-knit, collaborative and committed to providing exceptional service to clients and patients alike.
Practice Details
The practice is RCVS-accredited and carries out a wide range of procedures including soft tissue surgery, dentals, ophthalmic cases and imaging. Facilities include digital x-ray, ultrasound, an in-house laboratory and a dedicated pharmacy. The practice benefits from access to referral centres and advanced hospital support within its wider network.
Ideal Candidate
The successful applicant will be an RCVS-registered veterinary surgeon with experience in small animal consultations and procedures. You will be confident in delivering high standards of patient and client care, and able to work collaboratively within a team. Strong communication skills, enthusiasm for clinical development, and the ability to mentor colleagues are key attributes for this role.
