Job Description

Introduction
Our Client is a corporately owned mixed practice seeking an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join their friendly, supportive, and social team. This role offers a genuine mix of farm, equine, and small animal work with a strong emphasis on work-life balance.

Working Hours / Rota
Normal working hours are 08:45–17:00 over a 4-day week. The practice provides its own out-of-hours cover on a 1:8 rota, with two vets on call at all times. Vets receive a 4-day long weekend after every weekend on call, an additional mid-rota long weekend, and extra cash benefit per call.

Role Description
The successful candidate will enjoy a structured rota guaranteeing a mix of farm, equine, and small animal cases, including set operating days. Consults are 15 minutes in structured blocks to allow thorough case workups. Weekly clinical meetings are held for collaboration, case discussion, and team catch-ups.

Team Size
A large team of experienced nurses supports the veterinary team, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.

Practice Details
The practice is well-equipped with modern facilities including small animal and equine video endoscopes, ultrasound scanners for farm, equine, and small animal use, digital x-ray (including dental and mobile equine), and more. The team values teamwork, clinical standards, and providing a supportive environment for all.

The Ideal Candidate
An experienced Veterinary Surgeon with an interest across all areas (farm, equine, and small animal). The role also allows freedom and support to develop in a specific area of interest. A proactive and collaborative attitude is essential.
