Job Description
Introduction
Our Client is seeking an experienced Mixed Veterinary Surgeon to join their established practice based in Anglesey, North West Wales.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive and collaborative mixed practice treating small animals, farm animals and equine patients across multiple branch locations.
The practice provides veterinary cover across Anglesey, Gwynedd and Conwy, with its own 24/7, 365-day emergency service for large animal and equine work.
Working Hours / Rota
This is a permanent full-time position. The role includes working one night per week and one weekend in five as part of the on-call rota, alongside other veterinary surgeons. There is flexibility to work a four or five-day week, and part-time options are available for the right candidate.
Role Description
You will manage a varied caseload across small animal, farm and equine work, delivering high standards of clinical care both independently and as part of a team.
The role involves working across multiple sites and locations, supporting routine consultations, surgical procedures, herd health planning and emergency cases.
As part of the OOH rota, you will contribute to the practice’s in-house 24-hour emergency service for large animal and equine patients.
You will work collaboratively with experienced veterinary colleagues, nurses and support staff to ensure continuity of care and strong client relationships.

The team consists of experienced and enthusiastic vets, veterinary nurses and support colleagues, many with specialist skills across different areas of animal health.
The practice operates from branches in Mona, Menai Bridge, Amlwch and Bangor, providing comprehensive mixed veterinary services across the region.

Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will be an experienced Mixed Veterinary Surgeon confident working independently and as part of a team.
You will be comfortable covering OOH as part of a rota, working across multiple sites and managing a varied caseload including small animal, farm and equine cases.
Strong communication skills, adaptability and a proactive approach to patient care are essential.
