Our Client is a well-established, multi-vet small animal practice based in Esher, Surrey. The practice prides itself on clinical excellence, collaboration, and fostering a supportive environment where team wellbeing is prioritised alongside high standards of patient care.

With a loyal and engaged client base, the practice benefits from strong case continuity and the ability to work cases up thoroughly, particularly within dentistry, where the team has developed notable expertise.

Working Hours / Rota
This role offers a three-day working week, providing an excellent work–life balance. The rota includes 1 in 3 weekends at the Esher practice and 1 in 6 weekends at a nearby 24-hour hospital. There is participation in a limited number of Bank Holidays, ERS days, and on-call blocks, which are carefully planned and shared regionally.

For candidates seeking additional hours or a full-time position, this can be discussed with the option to share rota commitments with a nearby practice.

Role Description
In this role, you will deliver exceptional clinical care during consultations and surgical procedures, maintaining high standards of regulatory and operational compliance. You will develop tailored treatment plans in partnership with clients and manage a varied general practice caseload.

The practice supports strong clinical freedom and encourages the development of individual interests. With a particular strength in dentistry, you will have the opportunity to manage a rewarding and diverse dental caseload alongside routine and preventative care.

You will work collaboratively within a close-knit team, sharing skills and contributing to the continued development of clinical standards and patient care.

Team Size
The team consists of multiple Veterinary Surgeons, three Registered Veterinary Nurses, two Veterinary Care Assistants (including one progressing into nursing training), and a dedicated Client Care Assistant. The practice is led by an experienced and supportive Branch Partner who promotes a positive and balanced team culture.

Practice Details
The purpose-built practice includes three dedicated consultation rooms, separate dog and cat wards, a defined preparation area supporting a well-equipped theatre, and a welcoming staff room. A full refurbishment is scheduled for early 2025, further enhancing the clinical environment.

The practice is supported by a nearby 24-hour hospital, ensuring access to advanced and emergency care when required.

Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will be a qualified MRCVS Veterinary Surgeon with experience in small animal general practice. You will demonstrate a passion for clinical excellence and client care, alongside confidence in consultations and routine surgery.
