Job Description

Introduction
Our Client is a corporately owned practice seeking a Veterinary Surgeon to join their well-established and welcoming small animal practice. This role offers the chance to work within a supportive team while having access to the wider network and 24-hour hospital for excellent case support and referral options.

Rota Details
This is a full-time role with a fair rota that supports a healthy work-life balance. The position includes structured consulting and surgery time with no OOHs, as overnight cases are transferred to the 24-hour hospital.

The practice has a friendly and supportive local team, complemented by a strong regional network of Vets and RVNs who regularly collaborate on cases, share knowledge, and support ongoing professional development.

Description of the Role
The successful candidate will provide high-quality clinical care during consultations and procedures while communicating clearly and compassionately with clients. Duties will include preparing treatment plans, ensuring accurate estimates, and maintaining compliance with best practice standards. The role also involves supporting colleagues, sharing knowledge, and contributing to a positive, progressive culture.

Ideal Candidate
The ideal applicant will be an RCVS registered Veterinary Surgeon who is confident with routine consultations and surgery, with a strong focus on patient care and client service. You should enjoy working collaboratively as part of a team and be open to developing skills further. Candidates with an interest in leadership, mentoring, or pursuing additional qualifications are encouraged to apply, with funded certificate opportunities available.

Practice Equipment List
The practice is equipped with X-ray, dental X-ray, ultrasound, and an in-house laboratory. The premises include a welcoming reception area with separate cat and dog waiting spaces.
