Job Description
Introduction
Our Client’s practice is a modern and well-equipped small animal practice located in Derby Kingsway, offering excellent transport links to Nottingham, Burton and the Peak District. The practice has built a strong reputation for providing outstanding patient and client care within a supportive and friendly team environment.
The team places a strong emphasis on workplace culture, collaboration and personal wellbeing, creating an enjoyable and rewarding place to work. The practice is also proud to hold Silver Standard ICC Cat Friendly Clinic status and is recognised as rabbit friendly.
Working Hours / Rota
This is a part-time role working between 15-30 hours per week with flexibility available on both full and part working days. Ideally, the rota would include Fridays.
The weekend commitment is 1 in 3 Saturdays on a shared rota basis. There is some sole charge responsibility but no out-of-hours duties.
Role Description
The successful Veterinary Surgeon will join a supportive and experienced clinical team, managing a varied small animal caseload involving consultations, diagnostics and routine surgical procedures. The role would suit someone with solid medical and surgical skills who is confident working up cases and delivering excellent clinical standards.
There is strong support for ongoing professional development, including CPD and certificate funding, making this an excellent opportunity for a Veterinary Surgeon looking to continue developing their clinical interests within a collaborative practice environment.
Team Size
The team is led by an experienced Practice Partner and includes 3 additional Veterinary Surgeons, 5 Nurses, 3 Client Care Advisors and a Practice Administrator. The practice prides itself on maintaining a welcoming, supportive and enjoyable workplace culture where team members feel genuinely valued.
