Job Description
Introduction
Our Client’s practice is a supportive, community-driven first opinion veterinary centre located in Leicestershire. With a strong local presence and involvement in community events and charities, the practice prides itself on delivering high-quality care while maintaining a collaborative and friendly working environment. Working Hours / Rota
This is a part-time position working 30 hours per week with a strong focus on flexibility to suit individual needs. The practice is open to accommodating school hours, shorter shifts, or condensed working days depending on what works best for the successful candidate. The rota is designed to promote an excellent work-life balance, ensuring time outside of work is protected and valued.
Role Description
The role involves delivering high-quality clinical care across consultations, medical workups, and both routine and non-routine surgeries. You will be responsible for clinical decision-making, interpreting diagnostic results, and managing cases through treatment planning and ongoing care. There is also an opportunity to support and mentor junior colleagues and graduates, contributing to their development. The position offers a varied caseload within a well-equipped practice, allowing you to fully utilise your clinical skills while working collaboratively with the wider team.
Team Size
You will be working alongside a team of 9 veterinary surgeons with varying levels of experience, including certificate holders, supported by a highly skilled nursing team within a collaborative and friendly environment.

This is a well-equipped first opinion practice offering a diverse caseload and modern facilities. The practice provides 24-hour out-of-hours services and diagnostic imaging, ensuring a high standard of patient care. It is part of a large, globally recognised veterinary group, offering access to extensive resources, specialist support, and career development opportunities.

The ideal candidate will be a team-oriented Veterinary Surgeon who thrives in a fast-paced environment and remains calm under pressure.
