Working Hours / Rota
The position involves 8–10 hour day shifts (including a paid 30-minute lunch) along with participation in the OOH rota. Out-of-hours work is carried out from home with a nurse on site, averaging 1.25 nights per week. Both full-time and part-time hours can be considered.

Role Description
The Veterinary Surgeon will be responsible for a varied caseload across consultations, routine and emergency surgeries, and inpatient care. The role requires confidence in sole charge as well as the ability to support recently graduated vets. With emergency and inpatient care provided on site 24/7, the role offers continuity and the opportunity to follow cases through.

Team Size
The team includes 7 Veterinary Surgeons, 9 Nurses, 4 Receptionists, placement nurses and an office team, with additional support from peripatetic orthopaedic surgeons and a cardiologist.

Practice Details

The hospital is RCVS-accredited and offers modern facilities to support the team in delivering excellent patient care. It provides both routine and emergency services in-house, ensuring variety and opportunities for clinical development.

The Ideal Candidate
