Job Description
Introduction
Our Client’s practice in Chester-le-Street, County Durham, is a well-equipped and supportive site, ideally located near the town centre. This friendly and collaborative team includes a dedicated Branch Partner, Practice Manager, experienced Vets, Nurses, and Receptionists. The practice is focused on delivering high-quality patient care in a welcoming and community-rooted environment.
Working Hours / Rota
This is a full-time position offering 40 hours over 4 days per week, with 1 in 5 Saturdays (8:30am – 12:00pm). The practice is open to discussing part-time options to suit your needs.
Role Description
You will deliver high-standard veterinary care during both consultations and procedures, taking the lead on treatment planning, case management, and clinical excellence. The practice is growing, with opportunities to develop services and mentor junior staff. You’ll be actively involved in case progression, team engagement, and promoting best practices within a strong clinical network.
Team Size
You’ll work as part of a close-knit team that includes multiple Vets, experienced Nurses, and client care professionals, all led by an engaged Branch Partner and Practice Manager.
Practice Details
This well-equipped clinic features dedicated dog and cat wards, a spacious waiting room, a separate imaging suite, and a prep area. It is working toward ISFM Cat Friendly Clinic accreditation. Equipment includes digital X-ray, dental X-ray, endoscopy, ultrasound, physiotherapy laser, and in-house haematology and biochemistry machines.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will be an RCVS-registered Veterinary Surgeon with strong clinical experience, excellent communication skills, and a desire to lead within a collaborative and progressive team. You should be confident in both medicine and surgery, eager to develop others, and committed to maintaining a gold-standard clinical environment.
