Job Description
Introduction
Our Client is a corporately owned cat-only practice seeking a Veterinary Surgeon with a strong interest in surgery to join their established team in Llanishen, Cardiff.
This is an excellent opportunity to work within a feline-focused environment, supported by an experienced Branch Partner with advanced qualifications in cardiology and feline internal medicine.
Working Hours / Rota
This is a permanent full-time role working 40 hours per week.
The rota includes 1 in 3 Saturdays.
Role Description
You will manage a full range of first-opinion duties including consultations, case workups, diagnostics and routine surgical procedures.
While confidence in general small animal surgery is required, the role is particularly suited to a vet keen to further develop their surgical skills within a supportive and well-equipped feline practice.
You will prepare tailored treatment plans, maintain high standards of clinical governance and build strong relationships with a loyal client base who value dedicated cat-only care.
Collaboration with colleagues and contribution to ongoing clinical development within the team will form an important part of the role.
Team Structure
You will work alongside an experienced Branch Partner (PhD Cardiology and Feline Internal Medicine certificate holder), an additional Veterinary Surgeon, a Head RVN, an RVN and two Receptionists.
This is a close-knit team within a practice that benefits from a strong reputation and loyal client base.
Practice Facilities
The clinic is well-equipped to deliver high standards of feline care, with advanced imaging, diagnostic and surgical facilities.
Located in Llanishen, Cardiff, the practice offers easy access to city amenities while being close to green spaces and surrounding countryside.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will be a qualified MRCVS Veterinary Surgeon with experience in first-opinion practice and a genuine interest in developing surgical expertise.
You will be confident in routine procedures, enthusiastic about feline medicine and committed to delivering high standards of patient and client care.
Strong teamwork skills and a collaborative mindset are essential.
