Job Description

Introduction
Our Client is a corporately owned Hospital seeking a Veterinary Surgeon to join their established 24/7 facility. This outstanding Small Animal Hospital and Emergency Services Clinic provides comprehensive care supported by a large, dedicated on-site team. Established in 2002, the hospital has developed into a centre of excellence and is recognised with four RCVS awards for its exceptional standards.

Rota Details
Both full-time and part-time positions are available. The full-time role consists of four weekdays and alternate weekends, while the part-time option offers three long days with one in four weekends. The rota is designed to promote a balanced workload and ensure fair weekend coverage across the team.

Information About the Practice
The hospital operates as a busy 24-hour centre, managing both general practice and referral cases under one roof to ensure continuity of patient care. The team includes 14 Vets, 24 RVNs, 3 SVNs, 5 ACAs, and an excellent non-clinical support team. Together they provide a collaborative, professional, and supportive environment with access to a broad range of clinical expertise.

Description of the Role
The Veterinary Surgeon will work within the first-opinion day team, handling a varied caseload of medical and surgical cases. This role offers the opportunity to work cases up to a high clinical standard, supported by a well-equipped hospital and experienced colleagues. Candidates should enjoy delivering excellent client communication and contributing to a strong team dynamic focused on high-quality patient care.

The Ideal Candidate
The ideal applicant will have at least two years’ experience in small animal practice, with confidence managing routine surgical and medical cases. A collaborative approach, enthusiasm for continuous learning, and a commitment to exceptional clinical standards are essential.

Practice Equipment List
The hospital is equipped with advanced diagnostic and surgical facilities including a CT scanner, rigid and flexible endoscopes, ultrasound machines, orthopaedic and neurosurgical equipment, facilities for minimally invasive surgery, and the capability to provide stem cell therapy and chemotherapy.
