Job Description

Our Client is a corporately owned practice seeking a Veterinary Surgeon to join their expanding 24-hour centre in Ashton. This position has become available due to growth, offering an excellent opportunity to be part of a motivated and skilled team.

The practice has a strong reputation for minimally invasive surgical techniques and is looking to build on this foundation with the addition of another certificate holder. While a Medicine or ECC certificate would be ideal, the practice welcomes applications from candidates with a passion for high clinical standards and the ambition to develop their own interests.

The clinic is well-equipped with a large prep area, imaging suite, and dedicated dog and cat wards, including a separate isolation area. The location provides easy access to Liverpool and the Pennines, offering a balance of city and countryside living.

The role offers a four-day working week with no OOH requirements and the choice of either 1:3 Saturdays or 1:6 full weekends. The practice benefits from an experienced OOH team who work closely with the daytime staff to ensure smooth handovers and continuity of patient care. Flexible and school-friendly working arrangements can also be considered.

The ideal candidate will be RCVS-registered with experience in delivering high-quality clinical care, strong teamwork and leadership skills, and an interest in supporting nurse consults and schedule 3 procedures. The ability to foster a progressive clinical culture and mentor colleagues is highly valued.
