Job Description

Introduction
Our client is offering an exciting Partnership opportunity for ambitious Veterinary Surgeons ready to take the next step in their careers. This unique co-ownership model allows Vets to invest between 10% and 40% in their clinic, combining clinical autonomy with business ownership.
This opportunity is based at a small clinic in St Albans, offering flexibility in how the practice could be shaped for the future. It could be developed as a successful, profitable smaller site, or, should workload and demand continue to grow, there may be scope to explore expansion or relocation in the longer term. Partners can influence the direction of their practice, uphold high clinical standards, and enjoy the rewards of personal equity growth within an established, supported network.

Rota Details
Partners typically begin on a full-time basis to establish their preferred ways of working and implement changes to drive growth. Over time, as the business develops, the goal is for the clinic to operate smoothly without the Partner’s constant presence, allowing for flexibility to tailor working hours and responsibilities to personal and professional ambitions.

Information About the Practice
This St Albans clinic offers the opportunity to take ownership of a smaller established practice with clear potential to be shaped around the ambitions of the right Partner. The clinic could suit someone who sees the value in running a focused, efficient local site, while also recognising the possibility of future development if the practice outgrows its current space.
Each Partner opportunity is supported by a wider network and a central Support Centre. While team sizes and facilities vary by location, each site presents a strong foundation for future growth, with investment opportunities available to enhance facilities, equipment, and team development.

Description of the Role
As a Partner, you will lead the clinic both clinically and operationally, ensuring the highest standards of patient care while shaping the strategic direction of the business. You’ll have full clinical autonomy and the support of the group’s back-office, marketing, HR, and operations teams, allowing you to focus on clinical excellence and practice growth.
This opportunity would suit a Veterinary Surgeon who is commercially aware, motivated by ownership, and excited by the chance to build a clinic in a way that reflects their own vision. Whether the focus is on developing a highly profitable small practice or exploring future growth opportunities, this role offers genuine scope to make a meaningful impact.
This is a unique opportunity to combine veterinary leadership with entrepreneurial progression, building a business that reflects your vision and values.

Path to Partnership
This partnership model offers a clear and transparent route to ownership, with equity stakes ranging from 10% to 40%, and a minimum investment of 10%. In-house financing is available at 5% interest for up to 10 years, with the option to repay early without penalty. Repayments can also be made directly from monthly profit shares.
Partners must remain in the business for at least two years before exiting, with an attractive 7x EBITDA valuation for those who continue beyond ten years. For clinics in early growth or redevelopment phases, a guaranteed salary of up to £75,000 per year is provided, ensuring stability while growing the business. Successful Partners may also have opportunities to invest in additional locations, further enhancing their career progression and long-term earning potential.

The Ideal Candidate
To qualify for investment, applicants must have a minimum of two years’ UK general practice experience, with confidence in routine surgery and sole charge work.
This role would suit an ambitious Veterinary Surgeon who is interested in ownership and enjoys the idea of leading a smaller clinic with flexibility around its future direction. The successful candidate will be motivated to build strong local engagement, maintain high clinical standards, and make sound decisions that support both patient care and business performance.
No prior business management experience is required, just a genuine passion for leadership, development, and building a successful veterinary business.
