Job Description

Introduction
Our Client is a corporately owned practice that has recently completed a major refurbishment and expansion. They are now looking for an experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse to join their friendly and progressive team.

Rota Details
This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week with a 1 in 4 weekend rota and no OOH requirement, offering a great work-life balance.

Information About the Practice
The practice is home to a stable, supportive team comprising 6 vets, 5 RVNs, 3 VCAs, a dedicated reception team, a practice administrator, and a practice manager. Many team members have been with the practice for 6–10 years. With strong leadership from a long-standing practice owner, the team is passionate about development and provides a welcoming and collaborative environment.

Description of the Role
This role offers a varied caseload of first opinion nursing duties, including inpatient care, anaesthetic monitoring, nurse consults, radiography and ultrasonography, assisting with procedures, ordering, and the opportunity to get involved in Schedule 3 work. The team encourages nurses to take an active role in clinical development and in supporting the smooth daily running of the practice.

The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will be a motivated RVN with a positive attitude, great communication and organisational skills, and a desire to be part of a close-knit team. An interest in business operations and career progression is welcomed, as is a keen interest in exotics or advanced nursing techniques.

Practice Equipment List
The practice is well-equipped with 6 consult rooms, 2 operating theatres, a dental suite with dental X-ray, a digital X-ray and ultrasound imaging room, rigid endoscope, separate dog, cat and exotic wards, and an isolation ward. There is a strong focus on exotics, with one vet working towards a certificate in exotic medicine and two RVNs also undertaking further qualifications in this area.
