Job Description

Introduction
Our client’s Leamington Spa 24-Hour Veterinary Hospital is looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) to join their team in a full-time permanent position. This modern, well-equipped hospital is located in the heart of Royal Leamington Spa – a beautiful and vibrant town in Warwickshire. With close proximity to Stratford-upon-Avon and major motorway links, the hospital offers both an exciting caseload and an attractive lifestyle setting. This is an excellent opportunity for an RVN looking to work in a supportive, multidisciplinary environment with a focus on continuous learning and delivering exceptional care.

Working Hours / Rota
This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week on a rota basis, including 1 in 6 weekends. There are no out-of-hours or bank holiday duties.

Role Description
As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you’ll be at the heart of the clinical team, delivering excellent nursing care and contributing to a wide range of responsibilities. You’ll support both routine and advanced procedures, carry out nurse-led consults and schedule 3 tasks, monitor patients, manage admissions and discharges, and ensure accurate medication handling. You’ll be an integral part of daily team briefings and help coordinate clinical workflows while ensuring compliance with all regulatory and operational standards.

Team Size
You’ll join a dedicated and friendly team of veterinary surgeons, nurses, and support staff in a collaborative and structured hospital environment. The nursing team plays a crucial role in patient outcomes and hospital efficiency, and you’ll have the chance to work closely with highly experienced colleagues committed to mentoring and peer development.

Practice Details
The hospital is well-resourced and purpose-built, offering state-of-the-art facilities including three consultation rooms, a dedicated dental suite, an operating theatre, imaging room, and in-house laboratory. The team works across separate cat and dog wards, isolation facilities, and recovery kennels within a large preparation area. The hospital sees a varied and busy caseload and is well-suited for those keen to develop their nursing skills in both medical and surgical areas.

Ideal Candidate
You must be a qualified and RCVS-registered Veterinary Nurse with a strong focus on patient and client care. Experience in nurse consults and an understanding of how nursing contributes to overall clinic performance is key. You should be comfortable working as part of a team, demonstrate excellent communication and clinical skills, and be motivated to develop personally and professionally within a high-performing clinical team.
