Our Client is an independently owned, not-for-profit veterinary hospital preparing to launch a brand-new 24-hour facility in Hull, expanding its services across Yorkshire. Opening in January 2027, the hospital will provide accessible, affordable, high-quality veterinary care with a strong focus on continuous patient care and emergency services. Its transparent pricing model and commitment to removing barriers to treatment create a varied and rewarding caseload, offering excellent opportunities for professional development.
Working Hours / Rota
This is a full-time position averaging 38.5–40 hours per week, working 7:00am to 7:00pm shifts. The role includes a shared 1 in 3 weekend rota and operates on a rolling three-week rotation, with two weeks dedicated to inpatient nursing followed by one week working as a GP Registered Veterinary Nurse.
Role Description
This is an exciting opportunity for an inpatient-focused Registered Veterinary Nurse to join a brand-new hospital from its opening and help shape its future. You will take the lead in caring for patients across both the first opinion and referral services, supporting them throughout treatment and recovery while working alongside an experienced team of RVNs and veterinary surgeons. The role is primarily inpatient based, providing exposure to complex medical and surgical cases, while the three-week rotation also offers variety through a week of GP nursing. You will be confident managing continuous rate infusions (CRIs), indwelling catheters and a wide range of advanced inpatient cases, with excellent opportunities to continue developing your ECC and inpatient nursing skills.
Team Size
You will become part of a growing multidisciplinary team of veterinary surgeons, registered veterinary nurses and support staff, working collaboratively to establish a supportive, high-performing hospital environment from day one.
