Job Description
Introduction
Our Client is a corporately owned Hospital seeking a Senior Registered Veterinary Nurse to join their surgical team. The hospital is a world-renowned centre for excellence in oncology, soft tissue surgery, internal medicine, and interventional radiology, providing secondary and tertiary-level care for referred dogs and cats.
Rota Details
This is a full-time role working 40 hours across four days per week. The successful candidate will participate in the weekend and on-call rota, with flexibility required to support the clinical workflow.
Information About the Practice
The hospital operates four theatres and manages a complex caseload across multiple disciplines. The nursing team collaborates closely with clinicians and workflow coordinators to ensure excellent care and efficient clinical flow in a highly professional environment.
Description of the Role
The Senior RVN will provide advanced clinical nursing care while ensuring smooth clinical workflow through strong logistical and problem-solving skills. Responsibilities include mentoring and supervising nursing staff and veterinary care assistants, supporting and educating the team, and maintaining the highest standards of patient care. The post holder will interact with clinical staff, clients, and referring practices to promote effective patient management.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will be an experienced RVN with advanced nursing skills, strong communication abilities, and the capability to lead and mentor others. They will be driven, motivated, organised, and flexible in their approach to clinical work.

The hospital offers state-of-the-art facilities including four operating theatres, a 160 slice CT scanner with injector pump, C-arm fluoroscopy unit, cell-salvage autotransfusion unit, intra-operative NIRF imaging, an interventional radiology suite, minimally invasive surgical equipment, cystoscopy/endoscopy/bronchoscopy, two chemotherapy rooms plus hood room, contrast-enhanced ultrasonography (CEUS), digital radiography, and a full in-house laboratory.
