Job Description

Introduction
Our Client is a corporately owned small animal practice seeking a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join their well-established clinic in Dorking, Surrey.

The practice provides a wide range of services and is supported by a nearby 24-hour hospital and a strong regional network of experienced vets and nurses who collaborate to deliver excellent patient care and professional development.

Working Hours
This is a full-time permanent position. Further details of the working pattern can be discussed during the recruitment process.

Role Description
In this role, you will consistently deliver exceptional patient and client care, supporting surgical procedures and completing all pre- and post-operative activities.

You will carry out nurse-led appointments and Schedule 3 procedures, deliver high-quality inpatient monitoring and care, and manage admissions and discharges as directed by the Veterinary team.

Additional responsibilities include dispensing and checking medication, supporting patient transfers when required, ensuring full regulatory compliance, and contributing to effective team coordination through briefings and mentorship.

This is a varied role suited to a confident nurse who enjoys combining clinical duties with team support and leadership.

Medivet Dorking is a friendly and collaborative practice with strong regional support. The reception area includes separate waiting areas for cats and dogs, along with two consultation rooms.

The practice is conveniently located just a 10-minute walk from Dorking train station and close to local shops and amenities.

Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will be a RCVS Registered Veterinary Nurse with experience delivering exceptional patient and client care.

You will be confident supporting nurse consults and Schedule 3 procedures, comfortable working as part of a team, and capable of using coaching and influencing skills to help colleagues perform at their best.

A proactive approach, strong communication skills and a commitment to maintaining high clinical standards are essential.
