Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a corporately owned mixed animal practice in mid Devon, seeking a Registered Veterinary Nurse or experienced Student Veterinary Nurse to join their dedicated team. This long-established practice has been serving the local community for over 60 years and prides itself on excellent patient care, a supportive team environment, and modern facilities.

Working Hours / Rota
This is a full-time position, although hours can be negotiated to suit the successful candidate. The role includes participation in the on-call rota, shared fairly on a 1:6 basis for weeknights and weekends. On-call is home-based with no requirement to take phones or check patients; you would only attend the practice if called to assist a vet in an emergency, with overtime paid for any hours worked.

Role Description
The successful candidate will be involved in all areas of patient care, with opportunities to focus on specialist areas of interest. The practice actively supports the development of nursing skills and has an excellent track record in student training and exam success, making this role open to both RVNs and experienced SVNs. The position is well-suited to someone who enjoys variety, responsibility, and being part of a close-knit and supportive team.

Team Size
The practice is led by two Clinical Directors, one completing a surgical certificate and the other advancing in orthopaedic training. The nursing team is large, friendly, and highly supportive, with a strong culture of teamwork and shared social activities outside of work.

Practice Details
This busy, RCVS-accredited mixed animal practice has achieved ISFM Silver status and continues to expand its services and facilities. The practice is well-equipped with modern technology and is currently upgrading its in-house laboratory, including the addition of blood gas analysis equipment. The practice is based in a beautiful part of the country, close to Exeter for city amenities and within easy reach of Dartmoor National Park, offering an excellent lifestyle balance.

Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will be an RCVS registered Veterinary Nurse or an experienced Student Veterinary Nurse with a passion for patient care and
