Job Description

Introduction
Our Client is a corporately owned Hospital in Chichester seeking a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join their dedicated nursing team.

Working Hours / Rota
This is a full-time role across 4 days per week, totalling 40 hours. Shifts are 10 hours between 7:30am–6:30pm, 8:00am–7:00pm, or 8:30am–7:30pm, with a 1-hour lunch break. The rota includes equal weekend and bank holiday cover for daytime inpatient care and emergencies, with 2 days off in lieu for any weekends worked. There is no out-of-hours, except as a rarely used backup to the dedicated emergency team.

Role Description
This role is primarily based at the Chichester Hospital and may involve occasional support at branch practices. Duties include first opinion and referral nursing, with exposure to medical, surgical, advanced diagnostic imaging, and rehabilitation cases. The role offers opportunities to develop clinical coaching, pursue certificates, or build leadership skills.

Team Size
The wider team spans multiple branches and two hospitals, supported by South Downs Emergency Vets and South Downs Veterinary Referrals.

Practice Details
The group works from four branch clinics and two state-of-the-art hospitals, delivering first opinion, emergency, and referral care. The hospital environment is modern and welcoming, designed to provide a comfortable experience for both clients and patients.

The Ideal Candidate
The role suits an experienced RVN with a valid driving licence who demonstrates humility, respect, empathy, work ethic, honesty, communication, and teamwork.
