Job Description

Introduction
Our Client is an established small animal practice seeking a motivated and compassionate Veterinary Nurse to join their supportive and dedicated team. The practice places strong emphasis on teamwork, client communication, and high standards of patient care within a friendly and collaborative environment.

Working Hours / Rota
This role offers a high level of flexibility and can be offered on a full-time or part-time basis. Applicants who are available exclusively for out-of-hours work will also be considered. Working hours can be arranged to suit home and family commitments, supporting a healthy work–life balance.

Role Description
In this role, you will assist Veterinary Surgeons with consultations, procedures, and surgeries, while delivering excellent inpatient and general nursing care. You will work within the in-house laboratory to provide timely and effective diagnostic results, and maintain high clinical and hygiene standards throughout the practice.

A key part of the role involves supporting clients with advice, education, and empathy, ensuring clear communication and compassionate care. You will collaborate closely with an experienced team of 16 nurses, contributing to a supportive and professional working environment.

Team Size
You will join a friendly and experienced team of 16 Veterinary Nurses, working collaboratively alongside Veterinary Surgeons and support staff within a cohesive small animal practice.

Practice Details
The practice is focused exclusively on small animal care and benefits from an in-house laboratory to support efficient diagnostics. The team prioritises high clinical standards and a positive workplace culture, with strong emphasis on employee wellbeing and development.

Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will be a qualified and RCVS-registered Veterinary Nurse with strong communication and organisational skills. You will demonstrate a positive and proactive attitude, the ability to work independently and as part of a team, and a genuine passion for animal welfare and client care.
