Job Description
Our Client is a corporately owned Hospital looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join their experienced and dedicated team within a busy Pets A&E facility. This is a temporary role providing maternity cover.
Rota: This is a full-time position following a 7 on / 7 off shift pattern. Shifts run Monday to Sunday from 1:00pm to 10:00pm (9 hours).
The Practice: The hospital is well-equipped with advanced facilities including digital x-ray, ultrasound, endoscopy, infusion pumps, incubators, and intensive care units. The team is passionate about delivering continuous, high-quality care and creating a supportive work environment.
The Role: The successful candidate will be responsible for providing pre- and post-operative patient care, performing venepuncture and IV catheter placement, preparing and processing diagnostic imaging, and administering and dispensing medications. This is a hands-on and patient-focused role, offering the opportunity to make a real impact during each shift.
The Ideal Candidate: The ideal applicant will be a confident RVN with a strong clinical skillset. Excellent communication, compassion, empathy, and the ability to remain organised and positive in challenging situations are essential. A team-focused attitude, a passion for learning, and a desire to contribute to a supportive and knowledgeable environment are highly valued.
