Job Description

Introduction
Our Client’s hospital is offering an outstanding opportunity for a board-certified or board-eligible (ECVS/ACVS/RCVS) Veterinary Surgeon to join a growing, specialist surgical team with a strong focus on orthopaedics and neurosurgery.

Working Hours / Rota
This is a full-time position with a four-day working week and minimal out-of-hours responsibilities. Part-time hours will also be considered for the right candidate.

Role Description
The role offers clinical autonomy and the ability to shape the future of surgical services within the hospital. The successful candidate will manage a varied caseload in orthopaedics and neurosurgery, with potential to grow soft tissue surgery cases if desired. The role also includes opportunities for long-term progression and leadership, including equity through Branch Partnership.

Team Size
You’ll join a collaborative specialist-led team that includes expert surgeons and ACPAT-qualified physiotherapists, supported by dedicated overnight staff to ensure 24/7 inpatient care.

Practice Details
The hospital features state-of-the-art diagnostic and surgical equipment, advanced orthopaedic surgical tools, and purpose-built facilities that support service expansion. A full rehabilitation suite is also available, led by physiotherapists offering hydrotherapy and physiotherapy treatments.

Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will be a board-certified or board-eligible (ECVS/ACVS/RCVS) Veterinary Surgeon with a strong interest in orthopaedics and neurosurgery. Strong communication skills, teamwork, clinical excellence, and a passion for patient care are essential. An interest in soft tissue surgery is welcome and will be supported.

• Comprehensive in-house laboratory

• Digital radiography (DR X-ray)

• PGR instrumentation

• Purpose-built expansion facilities

• Synthes fracture kits
