About The Role
Our client is looking for an RVN to join their friendly and dynamic team.

Facilities
The facilities are modern and well-maintained. They have 4 separate kennel areas for dogs, cats, exotics, and isolation. There has been continuous investment in diagnostic, surgical, monitoring, and therapeutic equipment for both small animals and exotic pets and they have their own comprehensive in-house laboratory with biochemistry, Epoch, electrolytes, haematology, sediment analyser, microscopes, and small exotic haematology. They also have orthopaedic equipment, a dentistry machine, IPPV, multi-parameter monitors with capnography, ECG, a Sonoscope ProPet 60 ultrasound, digital x-ray, a tonometer, an otoscope, electrocautery, a Class 4 laser machine and access to an endoscope.

Caseload
They see many pets for medical and surgical treatment including dogs, cats, and rabbits as well as small mammals like hamsters, rats and guinea pigs and more exotic exotics like sugar gliders, skunks, hedgehogs, reptiles and birds (including birds of prey).

The Rota
Their nurses usually work 40 hours a week over 5 days and work 1 weekend in 3 or 4, with a day off in the week to compensate. They do not provide Out-of-hours services within their practice; this is provided by a local designated hospital.
