Job Description

This independent Hospital is looking for a new Veterinary Surgeon to join their team.

The team is made of 12 Vets and several of them holding certificates in Surgery, Medicine, Ophthalmology, Dermatology and CertAVP. There are also Advanced Practitioners in Medicine and surgery.

The hospital sees a very wide range of cases and vets are able to perform a high standard of workup and treatment, with support and full clinical freedom.

All vets have blocked off breaks on the diary during consulting times and for lunchtime, as well as allocated admin time.

The hospital is very well equipped with ASIF, mono/bipolar cautery, multi-parameter anaesthetic monitors with capnography, digital x-ray, rigid and flexible video-endoscopy, doppler ultrasound, 24 hour in-house laboratory, tonometry, operating microscope and slit lamp. They also have a fully equipped dental suite with a high speed dental drill, dental x-ray and loupes and have onsite hydrotherapy and laser therapy.

The full time rota is made up of a 4 day week, with one early finish per week. The practice does cover it’s own out of hours, but with this, there is a bonus pay for procedures carried out when on call & accommodation can be offered if vets wish to stay over when on call.

Part Time & Candidates that do not wish to join the on-call rota will be considered.
