Our client is in search of an SVN to join their thriving small animal surgery. Ideally, they are looking for a second-year Student Veterinary Nurse to join their friendly and established team.
The practice offers the convenience of free onsite parking and easy access to major transport routes, including the A13 and A127. It is a purpose-built practice equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, such as digital X-rays, flexible and rigid endoscopes, and access to a 16-slice CT scanner. They place a strong emphasis on pain management for their pets and regularly perform nerve blocks, CRIs, and stay up-to-date with recent advancements in anaesthesia and pain management.
The practice handles a variety of cases, with a dog-to-cat ratio of approximately 60:40. They perform many orthopaedic procedures in-house, including patella luxation, fracture repairs, and cruciate surgeries with TPLO, as well as a wide variety of soft tissue surgeries.
You will be working with the current supportive team, including 6 Vets, 4 Registered Veterinary Nurses, 1 Head Nurse/Practice Manager, 2 Student Nurses, 4 Veterinary Care Assistants, 6 Client Care Advisors, 1 Head Receptionist/Client Accounts Manager, and 1 Business Manager. The team members have diverse individual interests, including orthopaedics, internal medicine, diagnostic imaging, and vets who have completed their certificates or are working towards them.
This is a full-time role, requiring 40 hours of work per week. The rota includes early, middle, and late shifts on a rotating basis, and there are no out-of-hours requirements.
