Job Description

The role

Our client is an independent first opinion practice who is seeking a new RVN to join their fantastic team.

The practice has a friendly and caring environment, with a fantastic loyal client base. They are 100% small animals and are soon to be an RCVS Tier 2-approved clinic. They provide a high quality of care and communication to our clients.

The position they are hiring for can be full-time or part-time and they can be flexible around the candidate. There are no OOHs with this role and they work only 1 in 3 Saturday mornings to ensure a healthy work-to-life balance.

The amazing, hardworking and friendly team consists of 2 vets (1 full-time and 1 part-timer), 2 RVNs and 2 receptionists, soon to be 3. They are all well-motivated and happy. They encourage each team member to be the best they can be and to follow their dreams and goals.

They are looking for a colleague who would like to settle down and build relationships with their lovely clients; a nurse with empathy for the patient and owner, excellent communication skills and the enthusiasm to put their nursing skills to their best use.

Nurse clinics, radiography and nursing skills are encouraged, and tea and cake are provided. CPD funded and your nursing interests nurtured, as RVNs are highly valued members of their team.

They pay double the hourly rate for any over time that is worked over your contract hours.

They also encourage their RVNs to perform all procedures that they are trained for, including consulting, scaling & and polishing, radiography, blood sampling, cannulation and lab work. Upskilling will be provided for the right candidate, if / where required. The nurses are actively involved in creating care plans and pain scoring.
