Job Description

Our client is looking for a wards-based multidisciplinary RVN to join their team at the referral centre.

The Multidisciplinary Ward Nurses are responsible for providing wards-based nursing care to their inpatients across all wards and disciplines, working day to day in small teams to ensure there is good communication in the ward and a high level of patient care.

Each day is different due to the large variety of cases they see and the role will include nursing canine and feline patients across all disciplines, including but not limited to Surgery Ward, Neurology, Feline, Ophthalmology, Medicine, Oncology, Cardiology and Dermatology.

Their nurses take pride in providing excellent patient care, nursing with them is demanding and it can be busy, but it is an incredibly rewarding job!

This position will suit an RVN with a keen interest in inpatient care who enjoys a fast-paced environment and a patient-focused role.

The suitable candidate should be willing to learn and develop their knowledge in a referral setting, previous referral experience would be desirable but not essential and newly qualified RVNs will be considered. Training will be provided in each of the different wards and there is an opportunity to progress onto ECC rotations once training is complete.

This is a full time role working 40 hours per week between the hours of 6:30 am to 18:30, Monday to Friday with 1:4 weekend rota. There are also bank holidays required.

We understand you will need more information about this role as we have only provided a “Snapshot” of the position so please do reach out to Evie Godwin.
