Job Description

The Role

Our client is currently seeking a Night Veterinary Nurse to join their team at a multi-disciplinary, RCVS-accredited specialist lead referral centre.

Their commitment is to uphold the highest standards of veterinary care, ensuring a seamless experience for their beloved patients and their owners. They take immense pride in their exceptional team of highly qualified veterinary specialists, who play a pivotal role in delivering the best care to all the patients in their practice.

As part of a dynamic night team, including interns, nurses, trainee nurses, and patient care assistants, you will be responsible for providing inpatient and emergency care to patients across various specialities, such as neurology, surgery, oncology, cardiology, ophthalmology, and internal medicine.

Your role involves assisting with incoming emergencies and ensuring smooth case handovers each day. This is a diverse and dynamic position that necessitates working under pressure, coordinating cases, and a strong willingness to learn and develop your skills.

This role offers both rewarding and challenging experiences, requiring collaborative teamwork and individual dedication throughout the night. They support their staff with outstanding facilities and ensure adequate rest breaks.

The rota follows a 7-day on, 14-day off rota (7:45 PM – 7:45 AM) pattern to ensure a healthy work-to-life balance for all of their night nurses.

The ideal candidate should exhibit proactivity and a strong passion for general nursing. While prior referral experience is not mandatory, they are committed to providing full training and comprehensive support to ensure your success in this role.

If you are intrigued by this opportunity and would like to acquire more information, please reach out to Evie Godwin. She is more than willing to assist you in any way she can.
