Job Description

The Role

Our client is looking for a Lead RVN to join their small animal practice.

The practice is purpose-built and focuses on surgery. This includes laparoscopic surgery, TTAs/TPLOs, and fracture repairs) and dentistry.

The role includes a wide breadth of nursing duties, incorporating the management of complex medical and surgical patients, provision of perioperative care, assisting with the provision of anaesthesia and schedule III procedures, as well as supporting the patient’s journey from admission to discharge. They also support their clients with regular (and busy!) nurse clinics.

You will also be in charge of ensuring that high standards are upheld in the practice throughout the nursing team.

They pride themselves on learning and evidence-based progression and support this with a generous CPD budget and regular training events.

The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in surgery and will be confident will all general nursing. They will be able to work well in a team and can support student nurses.

This is a full-time role working 42 hours a week although part-time hours could be accepted for the right candidate, There is a 1:6 weekends and 1 bank holiday cover a year.
