Job Description

Our client is looking for an RVN to join their team as a lead nurse to help their practice grow.

The Lead Nurse role is crucial to their business’s ability to provide patients with the highest level of clinical care and will ensure that clinical standards & nursing care are aligned supporting the patient journey. The Lead Nurse will work closely with the clinicians and their team to cultivate a positive work environment and foster the practice’s growth.

Lead Nurse responsibilities will include nurse duties such as the provision of nurse consultations, inpatient care, anaesthesia & assisting with procedures and line management of a small number of associates. The role will primarily focus on clinical duties, allowing protected time for leadership and administrative tasks that form part of the role.

CPD including advanced qualifications is actively encouraged as this facilitates the development of the veterinary nursing teams to ensure the team is fully utilised and support is in place to aid the development of leadership skills.

As an ideal candidate, you will have excellent communication skills, be highly organised and able to work comfortably with autonomy in a small but growing practice.

This role will involve working 40 hours over a week with a mixture of early and late shifts (Monday to Friday) with 1 in 6 weekend shifts at their hospital.

If you think this role might be for you and you would like some further information, please reach out to Evie Godwin and she would be more than happy to help in any way she can.
