Job Description

About The Role
Our client is looking for a Head Veterinary Nurse to join their practice.

Facilities/Equipment
The clinic is built on purpose-built premises with separate wards for cats and dogs and an isolation unit. They have an ultrasound, digital x-ray, in-house laboratory with a microscope, capnography with pulse oximetry and a theatre dedicated to sterile procedures.

Clientele
The practice has a great clientele with a high percentage of insured pets and we also run 30-minute appointments for non-routine cases and 15 minutes for vaccines, to give the best service possible.

Practice Caseload
They have a wide and varied caseload with specialists coming to the practice to perform an array of procedures such as cardiac scans, abdominal ultrasounds with sampling, and orthopaedic procedures. Their nurses have the opportunity to assist in all areas, from theatre to nurse clinics and everything in between!

The Rota
This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week working 1:3 weekends. OOH is not included in this role.

Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will be someone who is passionate about delivering the very highest standards of veterinary care as well as a desire to work as part of a team (family) with their fellow RVNs, Vets and support staff.

Support/Training
In return, their clients will do everything in their power to ensure you are supported professionally through an excellent CPD and support from management as well as supported personally through their health and wellbeing programme. Nothing is more important than your well-being.
