Introduction
Our client’s practice is a well-established, community-focused 24-hour small animal centre providing high-quality care with all services available on-site. This is an excellent opportunity for a Night Veterinary Surgeon to join a supportive, progressive team committed to delivering exceptional out-of-hours care.

Working Hours / Rota
This position follows a 5 nights on, 10 nights off rota, with shifts running from 7:00pm to 9:00am. Out-of-hours responsibilities form the core of the role, including night service, emergency cover and handovers. Weekend nights are included when they fall within your rota block.

Role Description
The Night Vet will be responsible for delivering outstanding clinical care throughout the night, managing emergency cases, inpatient monitoring and overnight procedures. You will provide clear and tailored treatment plans, ensure regulatory and operational compliance, and complete thorough clinical handovers to support continuity of care. The role also involves mentoring nurses and support staff, contributing to a collaborative clinical culture, and supporting nurse consults and Schedule 3 procedures to enhance efficiency.

Team Size
You will work closely with an experienced Branch Partner and Practice Manager, alongside a strong clinical team of vets, day and night RVNs, client care advisors and veterinary care assistants. The practice fosters a supportive atmosphere with a focus on teamwork and high-quality patient care.
