Our client practice in Warrington is seeking an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to take on a Lead Vet position and guide their friendly and dedicated team. Working Hours / Rota
The role is based on a 4-day working week, with 9-hour shifts, and includes participation in a 1-in-4 weekend rotation. This provides an average working week of around 39 hours, offering a great work-life balance and flexibility for your personal time.

Role Description
you will play a key role in both the clinical and operational success of the practice. You’ll be responsible for overseeing the delivery of preventive and diagnostic services, treating sick and injured pets, and ensuring high standards of care across all aspects of the surgery. This role is ideal for someone with solid general practice experience, ideally with a particular interest in medicine and imaging. You’ll also act as a mentor and role model for the wider clinical team, supporting their development and contributing to the continued success of the practice.

You’ll be joining a supportive and close-knit team that works collaboratively to provide excellent care to patients and clients. The practice benefits from a mix of experienced vets, RVNs, and dedicated support staff who take pride in maintaining a positive and welcoming atmosphere.

Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will be an experienced Veterinary Surgeon with strong all-round GP skills, confident in both medicine and surgery. An interest in internal medicine and imaging would be advantageous. You’ll be passionate about patient welfare, customer service, and leading by example. Excellent communication, team leadership, and organisational skills are essential for success in this role.
