Our client practice in Quarrington offers a fantastic opportunity for a Veterinary Surgeon to join a well-established and growing team in a purpose-built facility. This role provides a great chance to develop professionally within a busy and supportive environment, with varied caseloads and strong team collaboration.

Working Hours / Rota

This is a permanent, full-time position, offering 40 hours across a four-day working week. There is a 1 in 4 weekend rota, with no additional out-of-hours requirement. Our client is happy to consider part-time applicants and flexible working patterns to suit individual needs.

Role Description

The successful candidate will be expected to deliver outstanding clinical care during consultations, surgical procedures, and inpatient management. You will be involved in forming tailored treatment plans, communicating clearly with clients, and upholding high standards of compliance and clinical governance. There will also be opportunities to support and mentor colleagues, contribute to practice development, and share best practices across the wider group.

Team Size

The team at this practice includes an experienced group of veterinary professionals, including vets, RVNs, and support staff. The practice also functions as a training centre, supporting both student nurses and new graduates as part of Medivet’s Graduate Support Programme. This structure creates a dynamic, learning-focused environment for professionals at all stages of their careers.

Practice Details

This well-established practice is purpose-built with five spacious consulting rooms and dedicated dog and cat wards to ensure a low-stress environment for patients. The clinic is fitted with state-of-the-art facilities including ECG, an in-house laboratory, a fully equipped operating theatre, digital x-ray, modern dentistry equipment, and ultrasound. The practice handles a busy and diverse caseload, offering excellent opportunities for skill development. It is currently undergoing development to become Medivet’s dedicated 24-hour centre for the region, reflecting the investment and long-term vision for this location.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will be an RCVS-registered Veterinary Surgeon with a passion for providing exceptional patient and client care. You should be confident working both independently and as part of a team and ideally have experience with leadership or mentoring responsibilities. A strong understanding of clinical standards, operational compliance, and a drive to continually improve are key qualities for success in this role.
