Job Description
Introduction
Our Client’s practice is a modern, purpose-built veterinary surgery located in Kidderminster, designed to provide an exceptional clinical environment for both patients and team members. The spacious 4,000 sq ft facility has been carefully created with sustainability, comfort and advanced veterinary care at its core, offering a calm and welcoming setting for pets and owners alike.
The practice is part of a wider veterinary network, providing access to extensive professional development opportunities, specialist support and a strong wellbeing culture while maintaining a collaborative and supportive local team atmosphere.
Working Hours / Rota
This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week across 4 days with a shared rota of 1 in 3 Saturday mornings. Part-time applicants will also be considered for the role.
Role Description
This opportunity would suit an experienced Veterinary Surgeon ready to progress into a leadership position within a supportive and forward-thinking practice. The successful candidate will lead clinical governance, maintain high standards of patient care and client service and work collaboratively with the Practice Manager on rota planning and team wellbeing.
The role also includes mentoring colleagues, supporting team culture and helping drive continued clinical excellence within a busy first opinion environment. The practice is seeking someone calm, solutions-focused and confident working within a fast-paced setting while maintaining a compassionate and approachable leadership style.
Team Size
The team includes a Practice Manager, Clinical Nurse Manager and an experienced group of Veterinary Surgeons and Nurses who work collaboratively to provide high standards of patient care within a welcoming and supportive environment.
Practice Details
The purpose-built practice has been designed to industry-leading standards with sustainability and clinical excellence in mind. Facilities include multiple consulting rooms, two operating theatres, dedicated diagnostic suites and separate wards for cats and dogs.
The practice also features environmentally conscious design elements including recyclable materials, energy-efficient LED lighting and air source heat pumps for improved heating, cooling and air circulation.
Located in Kidderminster, the practice benefits from excellent transport links to Birmingham and nearby green spaces including Brinton Park and Spennells Valley Nature Reserve.
