Job Description

About The Role
Our client is currently seeking a Head Veterinary Nurse to become an integral part of their professional and personable team at the practice.

The practice itself is well-equipped with a range of cutting-edge tools including digital X-rays, an in-house laboratory, ultrasound machines, and analyzers. Additionally, they boast a spacious and fully-equipped operating theatre.

Ideal Candidate
Recognized as a support and training practice for student nurses, the ideal candidate for this role will possess experience in leadership and clinical coaching. However, training can be provided for the right candidate.

As a Head Veterinary Nurse, you will play a vital role in not only the financial and operational performance of the practice but also in managing the overall team performance and fostering high levels of engagement. Your dedication to delivering exceptional clinical quality and care will be evident as you encourage a culture of clinical progress. Close collaboration with the Lead Vet and the wider teams will be a key aspect of your role, ensuring the seamless operation of the practice. This includes overseeing various elements, from Practice Standards to Health & Safety, debt management, and handling complaints effectively.

In your capacity as a Head Nurse and Clinical Coach, you will provide guidance and support to your direct reports. You’ll conduct one-on-one meetings, offer regular feedback on their performance, and create a positive work environment that promotes employee retention.
