Job Description

Introduction
Our Client is an independently owned practice/hospital and operates a modern, purpose-built veterinary practice based in Doncaster. This growing practice is dedicated to delivering consistently high standards of clinical care and customer service within a supportive, team-focused environment. As part of a large, family-owned veterinary group, the practice benefits from continued investment in people, facilities, and professional development.

Working Hours / Rota
This is a full-time permanent position working 40 hours per week. The rota includes one in four weekends and duty nights covered on a rotational basis, providing a structured and well-supported working pattern within a busy clinical environment.

Role Description
The Deputy Head Nurse will support the Head Nurse in driving the efficiency, effectiveness, governance, and continuous improvement of clinical activities within the practice. You will play a key role in maintaining high nursing standards, supporting colleagues, and contributing to clinical leadership across the team. The role involves hands-on clinical work alongside leadership responsibilities, offering variety and the opportunity to make a real impact on patient care and team development.

Team Size
You will work within a large and growing nursing and veterinary team, alongside colleagues with a broad range of clinical interests and specialities. Many team members are actively working towards certificates, creating a strong culture of learning, collaboration, and professional growth.
