Job Description
Introduction
Our Client is a well-established, community-focused small animal practice based in Gatley. The clinic has recently undergone a full refurbishment, creating a clean, modern, and welcoming environment with abundant natural light.
The practice is dedicated to delivering high-quality patient care while fostering a supportive and collaborative team culture. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse ready to step into a leadership role.
Working Hours / Rota
This is a permanent full-time role working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm with a 30-minute lunch break. The rota includes 1 weekend in 6 at a nearby practice.
Role Description
As Head Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will play a key leadership role within the practice, delivering exceptional nursing care while guiding and supporting the wider nursing team.
You will lead nurse-led appointments and Schedule 3 activities, support consultations and surgical procedures, manage patient monitoring and admissions/discharges, and ensure full compliance with regulatory and operational standards.
In addition to your clinical responsibilities, you will provide inspiration, mentorship, and development opportunities for nursing colleagues, fostering a positive and high-performing team environment.
Team Size
You will join a dedicated and supportive team within a well-established clinic environment. As Head Nurse, you will lead and develop the nursing team while working closely with Veterinary Surgeons and support staff.

Ideal Candidate
