Job Description

Our Client is a corporately owned practice looking for a Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join their team based in the Tameside and Manchester area. This is a well-established, two-site, RCVS-accredited training practice offering high-quality, first opinion care in a supportive and collaborative environment.

This position can be full or part-time, with a requirement to work 1 in 5 Saturdays. There are no out-of-hours or on-call duties, allowing for an excellent work-life balance.

The practice has recently undergone an extensive refurbishment at its long-standing main site in Ashton-under-Lyne. It is ideally located with access to local transport links and amenities, including a nearby country park and the stunning Peak District National Park, while being just minutes from Manchester city centre and the airport. The second site in Denton is also fully operational and well-connected by public transport and motorway links.

The clinical team includes experienced vets, including two certificate holders in Small Animal Surgery, and is supported by a large, knowledgeable team of RVNs and support staff. This role would suit a capable and confident vet comfortable with routine procedures and occasional sole charge. Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential. Applications from recent graduates will also be considered, as support is available.

Practice equipment includes:
Modern diagnostic and surgical facilities
Recently refurbished clinical environment
Full operational setup at both sites
Salary up to £65,000, dependent on experience
