Working Hours / Rota
This is a full-time position working four days per week with shifts from 9am to 7pm. The role includes a 1 in 6 full weekend rota at a nearby 24-hour hospital. Out-of-hours care is supported through this hospital arrangement.
Role Description
The role focuses on delivering high standards of clinical care through consultations and surgical procedures, alongside excellent client communication. You will be responsible for preparing tailored treatment plans, maintaining regulatory and clinical compliance, and ensuring smooth handover of cases requiring enhanced or out-of-hours care. The position also involves mentoring and developing the team, supporting nurse consults and Schedule 3 procedures, and contributing to a progressive clinical culture across the wider group.

The practice offers modern, well-maintained facilities including a spacious waiting area with separate cat and dog sections, three consulting rooms, a dedicated theatre, and a fully equipped in-house laboratory. Diagnostic capabilities are strong, supporting efficient and high-quality patient care.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will be an RCVS-registered Veterinary Surgeon with proven experience in first-opinion practice.
